    On 05.07.2017 between 5:00 p.m. and approx. 6:30 p.m.  the GWDG trouble ticket system OTRS will be under maintenance. While it still will be possible to send requests as usual to our service hotline at support@gwdg.de, no automatic responses or ticket processing will take place, so some delays may be expected.     GWDG at the IdeenExpo 2017

    On June 10th 2017, the IdeenExpo, Germany’s largest youth event for science and technology, will start again in Hannover with many interesting and exciting experiments and exhibits to participate. The GWDG is again represented with its own exhibit at the EF-05 stand of the University of Göttingen, where many other institutions of the University of Göttingen present their exhibits. In a small experiment on the subject of “Data-Analytics” we show how to compare photographs of visitors with celebrities with the aid of algorithms for the recognition of faces and similarities.
