Asknet Software Shop to Be Discontinued Today

The Asknet Software Shop will be discontinued as announced today (2026-06-30).

According to the latest information provided by Asknet GmbH, postponing the shutdown of the “Software Portal for Lower Saxony” until 2026-07-31 is unfortunately not possible.

The further course of action and possible alternatives are currently being discussed and evaluated. We will provide further updates as soon as new information becomes available.

The GWDG was informed at short notice that operation of the Asknet Software Shop (https://gwdg.asknet.de) will be discontinued on 2026-06-30.

Please ensure that you download and securely store all installation and download files for software you have already purchased before this date, as they are expected to no longer be available afterwards.

After 2026-06-30, offers and orders via Asknet can only be processed directly by contacting vertrieb@asknet.com.

Asknet is currently evaluating a possible postponement of the shop shutdown until 2026-07-31. Further information is expected to become available by the end of this week (calendar week 26).
